They haven't been able to cut any deals with any movie theatres so they pay full price for the tickets that their subscribers use. Part of their plan was to sell information about their subscribers but that doesn't seem to be going very well. Furthermore, movie theatre chains that are interested in a subscription service seem happy to roll out their own version rather than partner with Moviepass. --- This was not the best year for my bracket.
