I didn't say it wasn't, but surely the law shouldn't help them with their oppression? why not? My post was based on the original point that "it's to help stop oppression". So surely this is contradictory if by stopping oppression you cause even more? (Indirectly) It's caused by the people of that culture, not the people trying to stamp out that culture. That's like saying "banning unvaccinated children from going to public school just means more children don't get an education, and that's the governments fault". My point is that if a law causes more of what it's trying to stop then it's a dumb law. If the law isn't for that reason then people should say, I don't know why people are bringing up how it stops oppression. --- F.C.
