I hadn't heard the remake version of it though, so I was expected to give it a listen. To my dismay... they ruined it. It's still the same IotD, so parts of this song rock automatically - and that's why this isn't lower - but they tried really hard to wreck it. It sounds like someone took a MIDI of the original and shoved it into FL Studio and told most of the voices to default to orchestra hits and guitars, then just decided to leave it like that. The bass sounds horrible to me, the whole thing blends together too much and you can barely hear the changes in key. It has intensity, but is completely lacking in any finesse. Ugh, it makes me mad. The base song is still so good though that I feel like this is accurately placed.
