(Or by being high enough level to reclass into Swordmaster, that works too.) Gaius' child will always inherit Myrmidon access from him, so they will always be able to obtain Astra themselves. But if you've already decided to get Astra for Gaius, then you might as well do it before recruiting his kid, and save yourself some time and effort. --- I don't like this duchy.
