The song was okay up to that point, but it kinda wrecks that entire section of the song. Really, even in the earlier part, the little vocal clips just don't work for me. I agree that the song needed something else to spruce it up but choosing to do it that way wasn't smart if you wanted me to like the song. I'm a fan of the groovy rhythm and guitar in this song at least so it's certainly not all bad. Not as keen on the sax (?) parts, though.
