Hes an absolutely incredible songwriter and every album brings a new sound to their library while maintaining that flavor. The lyrics and costumes ARE satire, though, in a sense at least. I guess I wouldnt say satire so much as intentionally campy. Theyre like if a classic horror movie was in band form, thats the vibe. It works BECAUSE its all in fun, the shows make it particularly obvious that its tongue in cheek. Couldnt take it seriously if they were deathly serious about it. And yeah, they really are more hard rock than metal but genre debates are my least favorite thing ever so whatever on that one --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
