I want to watch a show where the characters aren't constantly contradicted by their audience. That involves smarter writing and wrestling that has an air of impact to it. Sadly, I just can't get that from WWE except in NXT and sometimes on Smackdown. I wouldn't say I'm a WWE hater. I like a lot of the talent. I just don't enjoy the writing at all anymore. Especially since Wrestlemania, it has been particularly toothless and mediocre. I really get into wrestling for the storytelling first and foremost, but things like an audience that won't even let a match out of the gate becomes frustrating for me at some point. It hurts my investment if I'm watching people shit all over the product. You can just palpably feel when something is hated in the wrong way, and for me, it makes me distance myself from that product in favor of something more exciting, where there is an investment by everyone on-screen. --- "Reading would be your friend." ~Dave Meltzer ...
