Usually I'll simply go for the best player I have a power read on. I feel like aiming for confusion night 1 is pointless without at least doubling down on night 2, or else it'll simply be washed away as meta evolves. This may force you into an unfortunate kill you really don't want in order to keep up the mirage. I play tighter as scum in most cases so I usually go more by the book. In that game I played it like chess. I had a scumteam where I didn't actually want to kill Chris night 1 but the other 4 were begging for it, though.
