Already talked about Daisy and Lincoln.

May is amazing and great and her development and actions are so cool and interesting to watch. Her having to shoot her ex-husband, even after falling back in love with him, and go through every bit of loss was heartbreaking. So much bad shit happens to her, but she really does an amazing job keeping the team together, maybe even moreso than Coulson. She's the real dad.

Mack was firing on all cylinders this season. Shotgun axe finally making an appearance was worth it. He was constantly put into uncomfortable situations the entire season... having to lie to his brother, deal with a turned Daisy, substituting as Director at one point... and through it all, just being a good dude. He really earned his place in the show.

Simmons had her thing with Will which was weird (she was showing how much Fitz meant to her, and just... it felt like she gave up too soon). She got too used to being back on Earth a little too quickly. But episode 5 was pretty amazing aside from those. She did a good job being Simmons, but hasn't quite been able to just be great Simmons since s1, so I'm looking forward to some more of that.

Fitz kicked ass. Always doing the right thing for Simmons, he fucking killed Iron Chef Chairman, he got the girl... everything Fitz did was just great. Remember when he was bottom of my character rankings? Lol that now.

I'm really glad that Fitz and Simmons finally got together. Keeping them apart for so long, but giving them so many opportunities to realize the truth of how they felt about each other... it was clearly time to have them commit or just kill one. Luckily, they just committed. Only question is, what happens from here? They're now a couple... it wouldn't be Agents of SHIELD if we're allowed to just be happy for them... would it?

And finally, Hive. Best villain in AoS yet. The guy was alien. Ancient, destructive, and beyond human morality. Brilliantly done, for what he is and what he represents. Though it took some time, he finally showed that what he was looking for was a real connection - perhaps a little cheesy (or was that just Ward speaking through), but sensible with his choices. Creating a world for Inhumans, where everyone would be a part of his Hivemind... he was Jiaying taken to the next level. Perhaps she was going crazy at the end, but Hive seemed to always be crazy. Feeding, growing, learning, and getting ready for the chance to return to a world where he could make every person his own. And in the process, bring unparalleled happiness to them all. He was one of those "change everything to help people" tropes, but when he floated in space with Lincoln at the end, he had to come to grips with his mortality and defeat. He was able to do so easily, it seems. Anger wasn't often an issue for him. He was so old that it made no sense to be anything other than patient and calculated. But in the end, he was forced to accept his loss and impending death. And his nonchalance about it... really helped seal him as the powerful being he was.

This season was great and everyone saying s4 is better is getting me so hyped.
