White Americans don't comprehend that a large amount of Hispanic people are every bit as European as they are nor that a larger amount of Hispanics have recent(~300 years) European DNA. Somebody "half Mexican" is pretty much white unless the Mexican parent was 100% native or Black. Some Mexicans are 100% European.

I will say hispanic doesnt exclusively mean latino or latin america/mexican. Hispanic is just a person with spanish blood in them really. people from Spain are white yet get lumped into the same hispanic latino category as central americans....mexicans especially don't look like people from spain. Hispanic and Latino should not be covering 20 countries worth of people.
mexicans are more native american than spanish european. even then they are not white at all. just look at them.
white european is still very much a real race, its a shame its been muddied down to the point where people think there is no such thing as an authentic white race.
granted there are exceptions to the rule....but by and large, the mexican of today is not mostly european white and is certainly not more european white than your average white american.

Not Mestizo, at least not on my father's side. I'm 1/4 Puerto Rican but since my mother's mother was somewhat racist, my mother's father was probably Mestizo.
Puerto Rico used to be Spanish European white. I know this as my mom is Puerto Rican and in love with genealogy. It wasn't until the other non-white islands started moving en masse that the Puerto Rican became non-white majority. As someone that is spanish, I assure you I do not tan lol. I'm very white. Puerto Rico used to be very white european.
