Why must everything have to virtue signal? Politics and Lifestyle and etc included in entertainment is just wrong. It screams, "LOOK AT US, WE ARE PROGRESSIVE! WATCH OUR SHOW!!!" when it's a reboot of a original series that had nothing to do with those characteristics. I don't care if a character is straight, gay, bi or whatever. I don't care if a character is white, black, mexican or etc. But don't take a normally, straight character and turn him gay or bi for virtue. Or take a white character and turn them into a black woman just to virtue signal.
oh for fucks sakes shiro is a mostly original character somewhat based on a guy who is there for like 8 episodes in the original series then die ---
