actually he might be right. it was under Obama that the shift happened and it became more expected in the country finally to be ok with gay people. even Obama himself was against it when he started and then he "had a change of heart". Trump is the first fresh new president to begin after the shift already happened. so by default he just said he's ok with gay people. cause he has to. every president before Trump, in all US history technically was anti gay at least when they began
