Because white men are glorified in Hollywood, and they go out of their way to desexualize Asian men in media.

Thats definitey a huge factor in it, the perception of white men in media being so far above the minorities is a little fucked up when you think about it.

I saw a post screenshotting tweets that went as far as some of those girls parents telling them to marry a white man.
