My girlfriend usually gets home from work 2 and a half hours after I do, so when I get home I straighten up the house for a bit and then go to the local main street/big ass park 10 minutes up the road and grab a coffee or a beer from a bar and walk around for a bit and play, it's something to do and gets me out of the house. Usually a ton of other people out playing as well. This. Not only am I not embarrassed but Im running into people with the same hobby and chatting it up which adds to the entertainment of it all.
