No, you don't get severance for quitting. Same way you don't get unemployment for quitting. Actually, both would depend on situation. People do get severances for quitting. But its usually a contractual deal. Example: Golden Parachute. As for Unemployment for quitting: Ive done it twice. It depends on why you quit. Right. It's much the same. You can't collect in those situations unless you fall under specific circumstances.
