Need to finish reading this later. These online communities are pretty fucking scary. There is a really amazing visual metaphor throughline of the piece. The writer does a great job contrasting the beautiful, welcoming neighborhood outdoors against the fact that the killer spent most of his time inside the dark, refuse-filled basement, and when he finally emerged into the light he was covered in blood.
