What weapons and frames do yall recommend someone go for first?
I started out with Excalibur from the start and pretty much stuck with him. Easily my favorite frame so far.
I've played a little of Rhino too. I got Trinity Prime free a while back but haven't used her yet. I made Oberon in the foundry recently and I've only played one mission with him.
DE just recently gave out Ash Prime for watching their live feed a week ago or so and I've been playing him since. Real fun frame to play. I think his first abilities are even better than Excalibur. But I have nostalgia for Excalibur as it was Hayden Tenno's suit in Dark Sector.
Prime frames though are tough to get since the components mostly drop from void fissure missions, which you need relics for which you get in excavation missions. And if you want better chances at getting the best possible reward from void fissure missions, you have to refine your relics. Which you need void traces for. Which you get in missions in the Void. So yeah, they're not easy. I got lucky getting two prime frames for free.
Excavations aren't the only places you get relics. You get them in most mission types, but certain relics like Axi only drop in certain missions and certain rotations.
Also, sometimes all you really need is an abundant amount of relics and you can kind of leech off other party member's rewards for better void drops.
Or you can take the side route by farming platinum and buying prime frames. A lot of the prime frames range from 40-150 plat atm ---
