though a lot of people take bills that are pre-00s and just hoard them. add another 40 years to an already older bill and the value goes up, but you dont lose money(unless currency gets devalued or outlawed in the future or some shit) at all, so its a safe way to possibly make some extra dough around retirement age.

i mean, say you have a normal, nothing special bill in meh condition like a 1950 series...you might get 10-15% value over face if you sold it. It has value above face, but not significantly. If it was in great condition itd go for more. but then add in another 40 years, and you have a 108 year old bill, which in todays terms would be a 1910 bill, which is definitely collectible and people will pay money for it.
