Attempt to dodge and counter-attack

Alright, this time, maybe a good idea would be to not get hit, and then maybe you could hit it back.

The sign charges at you once again.

You frantically jump out of its way successfully, but you couldn't get a hit in since it was going too fast. Maybe second time's a charm. You see it coming at you head on as it always does.
This time around, you prepare your attack before dodging, winding up your pipe like a baseball bat.

The sign draws closer at a rapid rate. You strengthen your stance by crouching slightly. A prompt appears from the sign, which means its in range now.

Quick on your feet, you spring to the side while swinging at the sign. The metallic sound of your pipe rings out as you see the sign fly away towards Ed.

He reacts quickly with his mop winded up for a swing, then bats it into the janitor's closet.

The sign doesn't seem to be down for the count, however. It starts to get up and leave the closet, but Ed quickly shuts the door and tries to keep it barred with his body. "I'll keep this thing locked! Get outta here, Nopants!"

You hesitate with gritted teeth, but decide to run while saluting Ed. He truly was not getting paid enough for this shit.

You make your way outside of the corporate building, only things...don't look like the outside. You're stopped dead in your tracks from, uh, a lack of tracks. The floor ahead is gone. In fact, the entire ground around the building is gone. You peek out to where the ground should be and instead see an endless void. It's as though the entire building is now on a floating island.

More surprises come to you as you look straight up into a sky, where you see a giant green vortex looming just over the building roof. A square appears on your HUD, denoting the words "Next Stage" on the vortex.

You gulp. No where else to go but up, it seems.
