Basically, moderators can't do anything more severe than warnings (maybe this isn't true for lead mods anymore, not sure). If they find a message that, either because of how bad it is or because of the poster's history, needs more than a warning, they suspend. Admins (or maybe lead mods nowdays) then review the moderation within a day or two, and act accordingly. If no action is taken, a suspension would theoretically last forever, although in practice I don't think I've ever heard of it taking more than a couple of days. Purgatory is basically a temporary ban, with a defined end date - I believe anywhere from 7 days to a year. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
