in real life, it is possible to give me brain damage
a human-like character known as "me" will start off commenting on how i am human-like and that it is a lovely day. if you hit me with a hammer, i will release a pained yelp and won't respawn until the assailant leaves and re-enters the area. After the third or fourth time, i will start questioning whether or not i really am human-like. after the sixth or seventh time, i'll struggle with remembering if i ate breakfast in the morning and won't even acknowledge who i am anymore. i'll finally disappear for good after the eighth hit on the head, no longer moving because i am definitely brain damaged
