The previous administration decided to not follow the law to it's fullest extent. They implemented a policy where they looked the other way (yet they still did this exact thing under different sets of circumstances). This adminstration had decided to follow the law accordingly, and refer every single crossing for prosecution in an attempt to deter crossings

Just so you know, I don't agree with it. Not because of the separation issue like you guys are harping on, but because so much money is being wasted by going to court, feeding, jailing, etc. That's our money. That's my taxpayer money. Shit like this is why our government is so bloated. I want new immigration laws entirely. But we both know how fucked congress is right now

I'm not saying that doesn't suck. It does. It absolutely does and there's no arguing that. But we can't argue things based on emotion. If you're here illegally, you have to go back.
