Well it's unlikely to ever be important again, maybe they planned something with it, maybe not

Here's the reason they made that one shot - after the movie came out there were a lot of babies crying about how the twist was soooo bad and it RUINED and WASTED the Mandarin, one of the greatest villains of all of Iron Man fandom or something

Sound familiar?

So they released this to say "okay, maybe there's a real mandarin out there. Maybe we'll make that movie someday. Quit whining, babies."

But i guess it doesn't matter because then the babies complain about not having it now. Babies are gonna cry no matter what you do.
