The book makes her out to be both incompetent AND vindictive, and the list of people she was able to swindle is incredible. They simply wanted to believe it was true so much. They wanted to believe in the existence of a young, female, Steve Jobs almost as much as they wanted to believe in gang-rape as fraternity initiation.
