I almost scored a couple of times earlier on to give myself some wiggle room, but couldn't convert, making the match more and more tense as it went on. I was almost convinced, as we approached stoppage time, that Belgium would score and steal the bid from me just before the final whistle. My team was battered, bruised, exhausted, and significantly out-skilled, but we HELD ON. Not thrilled about having to play Germany right off the bat, but I'm hoping Egypt and USA will be winnable matches. For now, just happy to be here!
