That was sort of my rationale. But I took it differently to bend the red text. My working theory for most of the first half of the game was that Kanon had multiple personalities, and the "Kanon" personality was killed allowing Kanon's other persona to do the dirty work. This also solved the mystery of how Kanon disappeared and attacked Genji and Friends. There was a lot of red for that, and this didn't contradict any.

Kept going over everything trying to work shit out while waiting for the Steam Release of Answers. Had a bunch of whiteboards filled with notes, a corkboard covered in all the red text, some red yarn connecting some of them I thought were connected. Trying to Solve Umineko was one of the funnest parts for me.

I was so freaking hype when I caught the Shannon being weird about Battler in 3. Then things started falling into place. And I used Answer Arcs to sort of check my work.
