Its actually a pretty good scene about Cap adjusting to the present. With a second Stan Lee cameo even Yeah, I kind of hate that they deleted it. It adds a whole lot to the movie and builds more sympathy for Cap's character, rather than Fury just showing up at the gym. His intro ended up being pretty poor compared to, well, any of the others apart from Hawkeye. Also all those shots of the waitress during the final battle, and the aftermath, make sense if that scene is in. It's a pity.
