Vegans shouldn't own pets. Owning, rescuing, adopting, etc are all of a selfish motive. Quit playing white savior. Cats contribute to massive losses in bird populations, and humans have evolved beyond the needs to own dogs.

Pets should be phased out. All cats sterilized and the same with all dogs.

My cats are sterilized and stay indoors. They would have all potentially been put down (two would have, the other not as much). I raised one from a feral kitten.

The only destruction they have is their meat based diet. I'm not going to force them to eat plants.

I feel conflict about keeping pets in the home for sure. They may have never had any life without that intervention. It's do the least harm. Not everyone is perfect.
