Walk into that dealership knowing the exact make/model/trim/package/etc that you want. Don't just come in there saying "I want a white SUV" - you're just being naive. And you'll be surprised at what little knowledge the dealer has about these cars they sell. My goal is to always know more than they do by researching the car I want from their website, then following up on the car mag reviews and forums.
