13. Beat a WRPG

Fallout 4

Bethesta one hell of a developer. Imagine that you are invited to a party, and at this party is every type of cake in existence, you start eating and you're overwhelmed by all the flavors you never even knew existed. You ask for some water, and suddenly everyone leaves the party and locks you in. Suddenly, something that gave you more pleasure than you've ever known is now your personal hell. This is what it's like to play a bethesta game. They over-deliver and under perform at the same time with such grace that it's hard to tell whether you're really enjoying the experience.

Fallout 4 is a great game, and the complaints I've seen about it "not being a real RPG" are provably dumb comments. However, the inconsistency of autosaves, the incredibly long loading times, the sheer amount of things that can instantly kill you from a distance, and the overall buggy nature of the game (I had to reload the game several times to even register that I beat it) make for what could be considered "A huge time stink"

That said, the world is awesome, settlements are awesome (though they could have been better), the companions are awesome (Curie was my main girl) And it made junk collecting really fun. If this game was just a smidge less buggy it would be my all time favorite fallout. As it is, I think I still prefer 3 to it.
