Wol and Garland (since they're using the Dissidia version) should have had spellblade access but they don't for some reason, I doubt they'd take liberties with the Red Mage when they can't even give the canon spellbladers access. I get the hunch that if Dena wanted a FF1 Spellblade they'd add someone from Mobius or make Marilith a playable character. Also you can't really compared FF1 to 4 in characters, FF4 has has 12 playable in the core game + Golbez + Rubicante & Barbariccia + After Years, and it gets events frequently. It's the most bloated realm, and it's because of how popular it is in Japan.
