Airheads is such a bizarrely outdated movie, even in its time. It must have been written and made right as all the 80s hair metal stuff became horrifically dated and silly looking, but the band in the movie plays Motley Crue sounding shit in 1994 as Nirvana has made all rock that isn't mumbly sadness ridiculous. I honestly don't have a huge opinion about the movie one way or the other, but for movie about a metal band trying to make it on the Sunset Strip, it missed the mark by about a decade. Maybe it didn't seem so dumb back in the 90s when it came out, but looking back now it'd be like someone making a Harlem Shake movie starring LMFAO in 2018. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
