Honestly if people got up a little earlier they wouldn't have to be worried about being late for work because their water took so long to boil.
Which is a moot point since coffee has more caffeine in it so if you need caffeine to wake up you should be drinking coffee anyway.
Which is also silly because caffeine isn't nearly as effective until an hour after waking up
From having lived with and without an electric kettle, they're one of the first things I make sure I have in an apartment. Somehow I have 2 right now. It was words being in America and trying to make tea in break rooms. I asked people what they did and they looked confused and said they microwaved water... Yuck. No wonder Americans don't like tea. You don't use kettles and you microwave water to drink
Microwaving water isn't that bad. I use to do it for hot chocolate all the time when I was a kid.
