People just stop taking it for a few days if they want to drink again. I think they use Vivitrol for heroin AND alcohol. It's just a shot you take like once a month and it helps get rid of cravings. Personally I'd think if it were at all possible, I'd take the non-medicated treatment route first. I'm not saying that Suboxone and other medications are not viable options though. ...
