So there's this really hot girl that comes to my store pretty regularly. She's really sweet, very funny, and will usually hang for a few minutes and talk. About a month ago we were talking about the weather being ridiculous (I'm in Ohio and it snowed yesterday...) and she joked about how last year it snowed on her birthday (April 8th). So when it snowed again on the 8th this year, she happened to stop by and I said "Happy birthday! You like your present?" and pointed out the window. She laughed and rolled her eyes, and we ended up talking for 10 minutes.

The point is that I've been talking to this girl for months with no issues at all. No nerves, no awkward silences, nothing. And although she is stunningly gorgeous (I'm talking solid 9.5/10), she's also super chill and friendly. I know she's got a boyfriend, too, and I'm not about cheating so I'm not even looking at her like I'm trying to make something happen. I just think she's a pretty awesome person.

Anyways, she came in tonight and it's cold again. I think it's like 35F out right now. But she was wearing this tiny black low-cut dress, with lace leggings, and high heels. I saw her walking in and my jaw about hit the floor. Then she goes to the aisle right in front of the register and bends over to get something off the bottom shelf and I got a great view of her ass. When she comes up to the counter I jokingly say "look, I know it's nicer out...I mean it's not snowing at least, but really?" She laughed and said she "came straight from work. So this was not my choice. I'm freezing!"

And this is where I started fumbling all over myself like a child. I TRIED to say "Well, it may not be the most practical, but at least you look lovely." And I swear I screwed up at least 5 different words in that sentence. WTF is wrong with me? This has never happened before! I frequently get people commenting on how smooth I talk, especially with women. I'm so confused right now...

I mean, I played it off pretty well. I intentionally messed up the next thing I said and made a joke about how I haven't been able to talk right all night. It didn't get weird, and she didn't seem to notice anything was wrong. But I was internally freaking out trying to figure out what the hell was wrong with me.
