I was drunk earlier. well buzzed but still.

so in my liquor store training on my own time(aka im curious and want to try various liquors now to educate myself) my friend let me have some of his fine scotch whiskey. but he told me all about how to prepare it, smell it, drink it, and admire it. the first time ive ever smelled a whisky or bouron and not wanted to gag because i was using the right glass and knew how to proper sniff it.

i tried glasses of:

laphroaig quarter cask
ardbeg 10
glenlivet 18
glenfidditch of some type
and another i forget

see, i didnt enjoy the taste of any of them, but i feel like i can grow from here. ive gained an appreciation and am noticing actual notes and smells to them outside of alcohol, and i notice the aftertastes now

so yay im learnding
