| Suprak the Stud 04/17/18 2:12:19 PM #44: | Trolling the_donald like I do, there tend to be two large swaths of opinions there regarding immigration. Those that are outspoken about how all immigration is bad and "keep America for Americans, etc" and those that are more sneaky about the way they talk but pretty much want the same sort of thing. Like what a lot of Trump supporters do (which again, I separate out from conservatives because they really are their own thing), is go "oh, of course I'm for legal immigration but illegal immigration is bad" and then they hammer how bad illegal immigration is over and over. But then when you look at their policy on legal immigration, or hear them talk about how they want to improve the immigration system, it is by greatly cutting the number of legal immigrants allowed in the country, both in terms of total number and targeting specific "undesirable" population groups. So they demonize illegal immigration while wanting to undermine legal immigration and thereby drastically shrinking the total number of new immigrants to the country, which is bad for a whole host of reasons. --- Moops?
