The 90s were a different time. In some ways, a worse time. Not taking sexual misconduct seriously is one of those worse ways.

Eeyup. Plus a little dose of the Internet being much, much bigger now, meaning that such allegations get circulated much more readily.

There's also the fact that Trump ran under the "family values" party, and people enjoy the irony of the "family values" party avidly supporting a serial philanderer who's on his third marriage and openly brag about sexually assaulting women. But, you know, you've gotta protect the sanctity of marriage by not letting them gays marry. That'd just be awful.

Did he really? I mean... the republicans are all about that stuff but I don't feel like Trump exactly stressed that in his campaign any more than Clinton did... because really when it comes down to it all politicians running for president wanna be seen as a goodhearted family man
