Les Stroud's techniques are more realistic for the average person to do.

Bear Grylls is fun to watch but nobody in a survival situation is going to do things like climb a sheer cliff with their bare hands without having eaten anything for 2 days to save time. And yeah, I know Bear Grylls does eat off camera, I'm just saying. Although when he was doing the show, he probably had a higher chance of living through real survival situations due to his physical abilities.

My favorite "survival show guy" was probably Matt Graham, but he had a very short TV career due to things that were outside of his control. And yeah, it felt like whoever was with Joseph was there to baby sit him, but I wasn't watching for him.
