Ask for a round of fries before your food comes. As soon as they bring out the burgers, ask for more fries. To me it sounds like you're waiting too long to ask, you need to be more assertive with it. Maybe the problem was when I went. Because like you said, I've never had a problem at the start, but it's been the case where waiters dont even come to my table.
