She's only 32? Damn, she's not aging well.

What gets me is that everyone thinks they should be able to say whatever they want, no matter how odious or despicable, on Facebook and other social media without suffering any consequences.

This is hardly odious or despicable. And what gets me is that you're implying that there should exist a proactive ban on speech, possibly in the form of companies deciding what employees are and aren't allowed to say. That's a disastrous policy which could be used to stifle support of political parties and candidates.

If someone says something that goes against the corporation or can cause bad PR. Damn straight, She is also a nurse and I am sure your hospital doesn't want nurses that say others deserve to die....when it is her job to help people. Yeah not all speech should be fireable but it goes by the job duty. It's more closer to someone working at Nike, then someone says some racist shit on their Facebook like "I make shoes for *insert n word here*'s." or something to that effect. Sure they have the right to say what they say but I also wouldn't want that person to be part of my team anymore.
