I for one am finally ready for the Mets injury curse to undo itself. Ray Ramirez is gone. The NL is very very tough this year, so I think they will sneak into the playoffs, and sadly collapse to the juggernaut Dodgers after the exhaustion of back to back play-in games (and using 1-2 pitching punch there).

The offense was solid last year and is basically the same this year, except more full years from everyone. They have the best 1-2 pitchers in baseball, but maybe the most question mark 3-4. Who knows what Harvey and Matz will be, but at least averageish should be sufficient considering what they have elsewhere. Lugo (or Wheeler) in the 5 spot should be fine for a 5 spot.

They are still a very similar team to 2016 and 2017. 2016 was one of their worst injury years of all time and they made the Wild Card game. 2017 was THE worst and they missed the playoffs. But all it will take is to be less injured than they were in 2016, which shouldn't be hard since THE RAY RAMIREZ CURSE IS GONE (of course... its the Mets, ya never know). I think they are the most highly variate team in baseball. Could win as many as 93 or as few as 75. I'm aiming high end here. They're a very good club who hasn't been able to stay on the field. This is the year they do it, and prove me wrong about just making it as far as a NLDS exit (of course, if that is what the season ends in, given the overall expectations, I guess that would be ok. But I want more.)

Be on the lookout for an absolutely MONSTER year from Michael Conforto.
