That area is pretty much known as the "gay scene" for lack of a better term. All the popular nightclubs and restaurants catered to that lifestyle are there (like Lips restaurant). I was hit on all the time, never bothered me. I was flirted with on a constant basis by a flamboyant homosexual who worked with me (he knew I was straight) and the worst he did was slap me on the ass with a spatula type thing. Never even bothered me. We'd mess with him he'd mess with us. All in good fun. I've seen more aggressive guys fuck with and creep on women than I have even come close to seeing with homosexuals coming on to me or my friends. I'll never understand those people that freak out over it and shit. Unless the dude sexual assaults you or like harasses you after asking him to stop it's pretty much just insecurity IMO.
