You seem to be against the CIA and FBI though, so even if we could do research to prove this (NRA blocks all research so they can say there's no data supporting a gun ban saves lives) you wouldn't believe it. But that's ok. You don't have to like the law to obey it.

I personally don't like that I have to take my belt and shoes off in an airport but what do you know, some asshole ruined it so now I have to or I can't ride a plane.
