"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

I mean you're definitely wrong but even if you weren't it doesn't change the argument.

I mean beyond what is written down in a law. Human rights weren't just created when the bill of rights were drafted. We shouldn't let one law that was written hundreds of years ago be the standard for what is right.

The option to live a good life which affects every single second of your life is more important than a person's ownership of a gun.

Where do you draw the line with this sort of thought?

Do you think the patriot act is a good thing? Should we completely do away with the 4th amendment and have the government listen to every call and read every text? It would probably stop some deaths.

Obesity and heart disease kill people. Should we ban McDonald's and cigarettes?

Drunk driving kills people. Let's make booze illegal.

People still die of hunger in this day and age. It's ridiculous, should we become a communist society as the government would ration things out so that everyone is equal and no one has to go to bed hungry?

I would argue that the free world has always put the rights of the majority over the lives of the individual.
