Ok, so, this has been kind of bothering me, and I want to talk about the implications.

At the beginning of the movie, He meets up with Nakia and they have a discussion. She tells T'Challa that Wakanda should use their resources and technology to help the poor and accept refugees and how can Wakanda just stand by in prosperity while everyone else suffers and basically he rejects that idea outright.

He eventually changes his mind on the subject, but not until after being confronted about it by Killmonger.

Now, it seems that the biggest factor involved in changing his mind was the fact that Killmonger essentially grew up poor with no parents and nothing.

Yet, when he breaks into Nakia's parade, he's literally breaking apart a fucking human trafficking ring with child soldiers and everything.

But apparently none of that matters. Only that Killmonger had a rough childhood? Why wasn't Nakia's argument strong enough?
