The ADL says their info came from 4chan. I provided 2 or 3 other links where they redacted the story to admit that it was a prank and the info wasn't valid. I know it really hurts to admit you were wrong on this one, but it happens to all of us. Story being fake 4chan prank. All the links you posted only mention 4chan once, and it does not state it is a 4chan prank. The redaction mentions an "alt-right" forum which does not necessarily mean 4chan. UPDATE: On Thursday afternoon, following news reports of the alleged association between Cruz and the Republic of Florida, a member of an alt right discussion forum wrote that all of the claims were false and were part of an elaborate attempt to troll a network news reporter and other media outlets. At a press conference Thursday afternoon, the Broward County sheriff said a connection was not confirmed at this time, but that law enforcement was still investigating.
