It seems clear that Russia endorsed any candidate who claimed to intend to scale back America's foreign intervention.
I think it's more accurate to say that they identified: 1) Hillary Clinton as the favorite to win the election 2) Donald Trump as their preferred candidate And they ran their operation accordingly: seeking to bolster Sanders in the primary(at the expense of Clinton) whilst torpedoing potential impediments to Trump's nomination, culminating in them running a disinformation campaign in the general election with the goal of helping Trump win. That is no longer debateable. The only thing debateable is how effective it was(I happen to believe it wasn't terribly effective). Nonetheless, it represents an attack on our very system of government by a foreign power, and must be treated seriously. Any and all people who intentionally aided and abetted such an operation must be exposed and (where applicable) prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Anything less is a betrayal of our principles.
Exactly. Mal is just being a partisan shill about the whole thing, and this just proves it. Russia is such a "nothingburger" investigation, but the minute it looks to him like blame might be assigned elsewhere than Trump, he instantly jumps on it. ---
