More likely, their entire plan was to screw over just the voter base as a whole. If Hillary won, we'd be seeing the same stuff with pro-Trump stuff and pushing it hard talking about being an illegitimate President. This is honestly what I expect most of the "meddling" to be. Barring the true criminal activity (hacking, data mining), the real stuff that Russia did wasn't maybe acting with a singular party, but setting up all these accounts to just screw with everyone.
