You should definitely do some strength training if you want to lose weight tho. If you only lose weight from pure cardio, you'll lose both muscle and fat and just end up being "skinny fat". I made this mistake once before, and I'll never do it again. You don't have to go crazy with the strength training, but don't neglect it. Just hit all the muscle groups a reasonable amount at least like once a week and you should be fine. Don't worry too much about the weight, reps, and sets. It'll make your body hold onto more muscle when you lose weight.

Thanks for the advice! I didnt know I'd be losimg muscle from cardio :/
